2. Hosting and server log files
When you visit this website, the web server automatically processes technical access data (server log files): the IP address of the requesting device, date and time of access, the page or file requested, the amount of data transferred, the referrer URL, and browser type and operating system. This data is technically required to deliver the website and to ensure its stability and security (legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). It is not combined with other data sources. Log files are deleted automatically after a short period.
This website is hosted by: STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.
3. Contacting us
If you contact us by e-mail or phone, we process the details you provide (e.g. name, e-mail address, content of your request) solely to handle your request (legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the request relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The data is deleted once it is no longer required to process your request and no statutory retention obligations apply.
4. Forms
The website offers two forms. Request a trial license lets you ask for a time-limited trial license; Send an enquiry is for arranging a demo or sending a general message.
In both cases we process the details you enter: name, company, e-mail address, optionally a phone number, the nature of your enquiry and your message. The trial license form additionally asks for the product you are interested in and the MAC address of the machine the license is to be issued for. The MAC address is technically necessary because the license file is tied to that specific device.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract), or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for general messages unrelated to a contract.
Both forms are processed on our own web server and forwarded to us by e-mail. No external services are involved, in particular no spam-protection service such as a CAPTCHA. The data is deleted once your request has been handled and any trial period has ended, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
5. No cookies, no tracking
This website does not set cookies, does not use analytics or advertising services, and does not embed content from third-party servers. Fonts, images and all other resources are delivered locally from our server. No profiling takes place.
6. External links
Our website contains links to external websites (e.g. product sites). When you visit those sites, the privacy policies of the respective operators apply.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, simply contact us using the details above.
